Driving in India, first hand...

Everything is completely reverse from US driving. Fast/passing lane is on the right.

These little 3 wheeler things are everywhere, they are a type of taxi and the vehicle is called an Auto Rickshaw...

Here's a view with our driver...

I think the suicide knob was invented here!

I need to take some more while on a two lane road, passing is MUCH more interesting. ;)

Take care all.
Tomorrow I take a plane ride to the 3rd and final customer location.
No clue if I'll be able to post or not.

OK, here is a "fitting story" for you :)

This is all true as well, although listening to Brett tell it is going to be a lot funnier then me (since HE WAS THERE)!

Last Wed. night he was waiting for a couple to come look at the van. While waiting he noticed a car going very sssssssllllooooowww! And turning even slower, then going up the road, turning into a business, stopping, going again, turning again..all at about 5 miles per hour! ~lol~

He noticed it was an Indian couple and came to the conclusion that he was teaching his wife how to drive.

He was pretty cautious because they were getting really close to his car a few times! He ended up moving it.

This couple comes and meets him, they too are watching this women learn to drive...up and down the road, turning ever so slowly, and driving even slower, making HUGE wideass turns, they ended up moving their car as well, and the women even asked the man, "Can we help you?" The man said..."OH NO...teaching to drive".

Well the next night Brett was meeting another person (Thursday night) to look at the van. The man was delayed at work so Brett was doing some paperwork and such waiting for him. He then said he heard the "putter" of the car...yep you guessed it, it was the Indian couple again....

Up and down the road, very slowly...wide turns, stop and go's, this went on for about 30 minutes or so.

Then all of a sudden he heard the engine roaring....and roaring...and roaring and then all of a sudden "CRASH"!!!

He looked up and the car was INTO the (glass) FIFE building across from your work! He heard glass smashing all over and went to see if anyone was hurt.

The man said they were "OK" and they were "talking" back and forth which he could not understand.

He then asked Brett, "What should I do?" Brett told him, if no one is hurt then you do not need to call 911, but call the Novi Police to have them come out.

He was quite concerned, asking Brett "How much will this cost me?"

Brett told him I have no idea, but it most likely will not be cheap! ~lol~

He then said he knew a man that worked a few doors down (a welder) and he was working and he was going to go get him to see what he should do.

Brett took down the plate number just in case they skipped away, but they did call the police, they came and took the report and left.

When Brett left around 9:30pm, the car was out of the building (the husband had jumped in right after the accident and put in reverse to move it) and you could still see into the office!

He said thank goodness that Fife has small concrete barriers...otherwise the car would have been fully engulfed IN the building, instead of only the first half of the hood.

Anyhow, there ya have it :)

Love,
Dana

Wow, looks like they just kinda fill whatever empty space there might happen to be within the vicinity of their automobile. Scary, and yet... Flint drivers could use some lessons!
